What do we do differently to many hospitals?
We understand that surgery and anesthesia can be very stressful for you and your pet. For this reason we do not compromise when it comes to safety and we include several services during your pet's surgery (including spay/neuter procedure) that are not offered at many hospitals, such us:
-Pre-anesthetic testing to ensure there is no underlying disease that could cause complications.
-IV catheter/IV fluid therapy for all anesthetized patients in which the procedure will last more than 10 minutes.
-Anesthetic monitoring including: ECG, blood pressure, ETCO2, SPO2, heart rate, respiration, temperature).
-Pain Control (strong narcotic pain medications are given before and after most procedures).
-Heat support (warming blankets)
-Safe anesthetic agents
-Endotracheal tubes to protect the airway
At Wasatch Hollow Animal Hospital, we work hard to make each and every procedure as stress-free as possible. Our highly skilled, caring and compassionate staff is dedicated to providing the best available surgical care while remaining focused on your pet’s comfort and safety at all times.
Following surgery, we will work with you to develop and implement the appropriate pain management plan to help your pet recover as comfortably as possible.
